Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Balichowki, in the Seraj region of Mandi district has been officially declared a CBSE-affiliated school following the issuance of a government notification. The decision is being widely welcomed by residents and stakeholders in the area.

Reacting to the development, Vijay Pal Singh, member of the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Education Minister Rohit Thakur for approving the move. He said the decision reflected the state government’s commitment to strengthening the education system in remote areas of the state.

Singh stated that the people of Seraj were thankful to the CM and the Education Minister for converting GSSS, Balichowki, into a CBSE school. He added that the decision would significantly benefit students in the region by providing them access to a modern and nationally recognised education system.

He further noted that residents of Seraj would remain grateful to the state government for fulfilling the long-pending demand of the local community. Singh also highlighted that upgrading schools to CBSE standards would help improve academic opportunities for students and prepare them for competitive examinations at the national level.

The announcement is expected to bring a major boost to the education sector in the Balichowki and Janjehli areas, benefiting hundreds of students in the region.
