Higher reaches of Himachal to witness snowfall on February 13

Weather is expected to remain dry across Himachal till February 15; middle and high hills are expected to witness another spell of snow and rain on February 16

The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh will be witnessing another spell of snowfall along with rain on February 13.

As per the state’s meteorological centre, light snowfall is very likely to occur in isolated places of Kullu, Kangra, Chamba, and Lahaul and Spiti districts on February 13, while the weather will remain dry in the rest of the state.

Weather is also expected to remain dry across the state till February 15, after which the middle and high hills of the state will be receiving another spell of snowfall and rain on February 16.

Also, minimum temperatures across the state are very likely to rise by fall by 2°C to 4°C during the next few days, while maximum temperatures are also very likely to rise by 2°C to 4°C in the next few days, leading to warmer days.

Meanwhile, very light snowfall and rain occurred in the higher reaches of the state, mostly in the Lahaul and Spiti district, while the weather was dry in the rest of the state.

Minimum temperatures, during the last 24 hours, were above 2°C to 4°C in most parts of the state, ranging between minus 9°C and 11 °C. Similarly, maximum temperatures were also above 2°C to 3°C in most parts of the state, ranging between 1°C and 25 °C.

Shimla, the state’s capital, recorded a 5.6°C minimum temperature, while Dharamshala and Manali recorded 6.2°C and 3.2°C, respectively. Similarly, Solan recorded 4.6°C minimum temperature, Mandi 7.6°C, Bilaspur 8.5°C, Kangra 8.6°C, Kalpa minus 0.7°C, Sundernagar 6.5°C, Bhuntar 5.5°C, Kasauli 7.8°C, Nahan 8.7°C, Paonta Sahib 10°C, and Kukumseri minus 4.2°C.

The lowest minimum temperature in the state was minus 8.5°C, which was recorded in Tabo village in Lahaul and Spiti, while the highest maximum temperature in the state was 25.6°C, which was recorded in Una.
