The 78th Himachal Day celebration is set to be a grand affair at the historic Ridge in Shimla, with Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh as the chief guest. According to Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, all arrangements are in place for the district-level celebration.

DC Kashyap reviewed the preparations at The Ridge and confirmed that a full-dress rehearsal for the event has been successfully conducted. The ceremonial parade will feature contingents from the Himachal Pradesh Police, both men and women, Home Guards, men and women, Traffic Police, and the HP Police Brass Band.

The event will also showcase various cultural performances by school students, highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage. With preparations underway, the celebration promises to be a memorable occasion, marking a significant milestone in the state’s history.

Dharmani to hoist Tricolour in Kinnaur

Rajesh Dharmani, Minister for Technical Education, will be the chief guest at the district-level Himachal Day celebrations to be held at the ITBP Ground in Reckong Peo, Kinnaur. He will hoist the national flag and take the salute during the ceremonial march past.

Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Sharma said a grand function has been planned to mark the occasion. Contingents from the police, Home-Defence (including police and women contingents), Home Guards band, NCC, NSS, and Scouts & Guides will participate in the march-past.

Highlighting the cultural richness of the district, local cultural groups and students from various schools will present a vibrant cultural programme.
