Himachal Pradesh braces for fresh spell of snow and rain on Feb 27, 28

A Western Disturbance is set to bring snowfall and rain to the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh on February 27 and 28. The affected areas include Kinnaur, Chamba, and Lahaul and Spiti districts, while the rest of the state will remain dry.

Also, minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to remain normal across the state for the next few days as no major changes are expected in the temperatures.

Meanwhile, the weather was mostly dry across the state during the past 24 hours and most places in the state witnessed a bright sunny day. Minimum temperatures in most parts of the state were 2°C to 3°C above normal, ranging between -5°C to 11°C. Similarly, maximum temperatures in most parts of the state were 3°C to 6°C above normal and ranged between 6°C to 28°C.

Minimum temperature in Shimla was 7.5°C, while in Dharamsala it was 10.9°C. Similarly, Manali recorded 2.9°C minimum temperature, Kangra 10.5°C, Mandi 8.4°C, Solan 6.2°C, Bilaspur 9.5°C, Kalpa 0.2°C, Sundernagar 7.8°C, Bhuntar 6.4°C, Una 8°C, Nahan 9.7°C, Paonta Sahib 14°C and Tabo -4.3°C.

With 28.2°C maximum temperature, Neri village in Hamirpur district was the hottest place in the state while Kukumseri in tribal district Lahaul and Spiti was the coldest as it recorded -4.9°C minimum temperature.
