Himachal to see heavy rain, hailstorm from June 11 to 14

A yellow weather alert has also been issued for Solan, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Chamba districts. These districts will experience light to moderate thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds throughout the day.

Similarly, an orange alert has also been issued for several districts for June 12, while yellow alert has been issued for most districts of the state till June 14. During this period, minimum temperatures are expected to fall by 2°C to 5°C, while maximum temperatures are expected to fall by 3°C to 7°C.

Meanwhile, weather was mostly dry in most parts of the state in the past 24 hours; with very light rain observed in isolated places. Minimum temperatures were 2°C to 3°C above normal and ranged between 6°C to 26°C, while maximum temperatures ranged between 22°C to 43°C.

Maximum temperature in Shimla was 28.3°C, while Dharamsala recorded 35°C, Kangra and Mandi recorded 38.5°C each, Sundernagar 38.4°C, Kufri 23°C, Kalpa 23.7°C, Nahan 36.1°C, Chamba 35.4°C and Bhuntar 36.4°C.

With a minimum temperature of 43.2°C, Una was the hottest place in the state while Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti was the coldest as it recorded a minimum temperature of 6.3°C.
