The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shoolini University, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Graduate Institute of Natural Products, College of Medicine, Chang Gung University, Taiwan. Prof TL Hwang signed the MoU from Taiwan University and Vice Chancellor Prof PK Khosla signed it from the Shoolini University. Prof Khosla shared the research achievements and the university’s rankings across the globe, including those of seven faculty members who have been placed in the 2 per cent of global list of scientists released by Stanford University. Student exchange at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels and opportunities for future research funding will be available under this memorandum. Faculties from both sides set their goals to perform research-related activities, drug discovery for diseases like osteoporosis, microbial infection, asthma etc.
Merit list of BSc, MSc nursing out
Himachal Pradesh University has released the merit list for BSc and MSc nursing courses on its website www.hpuniv.ac.in. The students, who have made the cut, will have to apply for online counselling from December 2 to 6 through the HPU website or the State Bank of India website — www.onlinesbi.com. The students will have to pay Rs 100 for the online counselling of BSc and Rs 300 for MSc Nursing.
Webinar on disaster management
APG Shimla University and the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) organised a joint webinar on Tuesday, with Dr Anand Mohan and Prof Shekhar Chaturvedi delivering the keynote adresses. The key speakers and disaster management experts discussed the effects of natural calamities on human life. The webinar was inaugurated by Prof Dr Ramesh Kumar Choudhary, Vice-Chancellor of APG varsity. The key speakers and experts engineer Suman Vikrant spoke about different aspects of natural disasters and disaster management.
