Dharamsala, January 12

Hoteliers in upper Dharamsala are complaining of regular power cuts. General secretary of the Smart City Dharamsala Hotel and Restaurant Association Sanjeev Gandhi, in a press note issued here today, alleged that Bhagsu and upper Bhagsu areas were facing power cuts extending to hours every day.

During year-end, many tourists who had come to Upper Dharamsala had complained of power cuts and refused to pay the agreed amount to hoteliers, he alleged.

Executive Engineer of HPSEB Vikas Thakur attributed the power cuts to bad weather and the work on the power infrastructure augmentation project in the area. —
