Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has invited applications from interested candidates for admission in various short-term skill development and add-on courses till February 28.
An official notification regarding this has been issued by the university. As per the notification, admission in the courses offered will strictly be held on merit basis. The courses include beekeeping, mushroom farming, environmental science, forensic science, microbiology, Indian knowledge system and population studies.
Besides these, the university is also offering short-term courses in international languages such as Russian and German along with courses such as Indian policy and governance, Bhoti language, rethinking development: issues and challenges, social work, environment economics, understanding human rights and Vedic mathematics.
Prof BK Shivram, Dean of Studies, said admission forms were available on the official website of the university and interested candidates could download these. He said, “General category students will have to pay Rs 500 as application fees, while candidates belonging to reserve categories such as SC, ST, Antodaya, IRDP and EWS will have to pay Rs 250.”
