HPCC to hold General House on April 16

The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) has convened its first General Assembly (General House) meeting since the formation of the new state executive. The meeting will be held on April 16 at Rajiv Bhawan in Shimla.

The session will be chaired by State Congress president Vinay Kumar. Preparations for the meeting were reviewed by organisation general secretary Vinod Zinta, who finalised the arrangements after consulting senior party leaders.

According to Zinta, several prominent leaders will attend the meeting, including Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and AICC state in-charge Rajni Patil. Co-incharge Chetan Chauhan and Vidit Chaudhary are also expected to be present. Members of the state Cabinet, PCC executives, district presidents and heads of affiliated organisations have been invited to participate.

The meeting will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will focus on organisational matters, while the second will involve detailed discussions with Political Affairs Committee (PAC) members on key political issues concerning the state.

Zinta said the meeting was a significant step for the party, as it would deliberate on the future political strategy of the party in the state, strengthen organisational activities and issue necessary guidelines for the party’s functioning.
