HPU basketball c’ship begins in Kangra

The HPU basketball championship (men) began at MCM DAV College, Kangra, on Wednesday. As many as 23 colleges of the state are participating in the three-day championship. In the knock out matches, Government College, Paonta Sahib, defeated Government College, Bhoranj, by 15 points after scoring 39 points. In a one-sided knock out match, host MCM DAV College, Kangra, defeated UIIT team of HP University, Shimla, by 44 points. MCM DAV College scored 62 points whereas the UIIT, Shimla, scored only 18 points.
