HPU's Court approves university's Annual Report and Annual Audit Report

The Himachal Pradesh University’s (HPU) Court today approved the university’s Annual Report for the year 2023-2024 and Annual Audit Report for the year 2019-2020.

The approval was granted during the 36th meeting of the court, held under the chairmanship of Kavinder Gupta, Governor of the state and the Chancellor of the university. The University Court is the highest statutory body of the University.

During the meeting, discussions regarding various important topics related to the university's academic, administrative, financial and developmental work were held. Suggestions were also given for overall development of the university as well as for enhancing its quality.

Prof Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the university informed about the achievements of the University along with various development projects, academic activities and future plans before the committee.

Harish Janartha, MLA, Shimla (Urban), Chandrashekhar, MLA Dharampur, Suresh Kumar MLA Bhoranj, along with Governor’s nominated member, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Chauhan, Dr Rakesh Kanwar Education Secretary, Director Higher Education, Registrar Jyoti Rana, Controller of Examinations Prof SL Kaushal, Prof Manu Sood, Prof DD Sharma, Prof Deshraj, Dr Joginder Singh, Dr Rakesh Kumar Negi, Dr Kiran Kumar, Dr Sushil Kumar Bassi, Dr Baljeet Patial, Dr Bhupendra Singh Thakur, Dr Harpreet Kaur, Dr Pradeep Kumar, Dr Vibhav Kumar Shukla, Dr Chandan Bhardwaj, Dr Dinesh Sharma, Pankaj Basotia, Dr Bharti Bhagra, Dr Harbans Lal Sharma, Dr Pradeep Singh Tomar, Dr Nitika Gupta, Executive Council member Suresh Kumar Verma, Court member Rajesh Thakur and members of the University Court were present during the meeting.

Also, Dean of Studies Prof BK Shivram, Finance Officer Dr AD Bhardwaj and Dean of Planning and Teacher Affairs Prof. Nainjeet Singh Negi were also present in the meeting as special invitees.
