According to the complaint, the incident occurred between 7 pm and 8 pm on February 28 near the Amravati locality. The complainant alleged that Yuvraj Gupta, along with his mother Shalu Gupta and 15–20 associates, had been harassing her family for the past six to seven months, purportedly leveraging his father’s position and influence.

On the evening in question, Anupam’s husband, Manish Dhanwan, was returning home with their son Mayank and his friends when a white Scorpio SUV fitted with a red-blue police beacon and hooter allegedly intercepted their Thar at high speed. Yuvraj Gupta reportedly stepped out carrying a baseball bat, while two security personnel accompanying him were armed with sticks.

The FIR states that the group threatened to kill the occupants and began damaging the vehicle. During the altercation, one of the boys was allegedly grabbed by the neck and warned of consequences for not complying with “an IPS officer’s son”. The complainant also claimed the accused appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

As residents gathered after hearing the commotion, Gupta allegedly attempted to ram his vehicle into the complainant before fleeing the spot. The FIR further notes that a similar complaint was made in April 2025 but was allegedly settled under pressure.
