Indora mason repairs neglected road stretch from own pocket

Suram Singh, a mason from Kandrori village, has taken matters into his own hands by repairing a hazardous 12-kilometre stretch of the road connecting Indora and Kandrori. The road had been severely damaged during last year’s monsoon, leaving deep potholes that went unaddressed by the local authorities despite repeated complaints from residents.

The deteriorating road had become a major safety hazard, causing multiple accidents, particularly at night, and disrupting daily commutes for motorists and pedestrians alike.

Frustrated by the official neglect and concerned for public safety, Singh funded the repairs out of his own pocket. Utilising his professional skills, he filled dangerous craters to ensure safer transit for the community.

Local residents have widely praised Singh’s selflessness, hailing it as a stellar example of civic responsibility. Meanwhile, Singh has urged his fellow villagers not to rely solely on government agencies for minor public utility repairs, inspiring others to actively participate in community welfare.
