The Indian Railways has notified the extension of Indore-Chandigarh express train to Una. As per a circular, train number 19308/07, running between Indore and Chandigarh will have an extended route from Chandigarh to Una and the service will start shortly.
As per the circular, the train runs twice a week. Train number 19307 starts from Indore on Thursdays and Fridays, while train number 19308 will run from Una on Fridays and Saturdays.
The train will start from Una at 1.30 pm and reach Indore the next day at 3.05 pm. The return journey begins from Indore at 5.30 am and ends in Una at 8.35 am the next day. During its 1,201 km journey, the train will stop at 23 stations, including major stations like Chandigarh, Ambala, Saharanpur, Meerut, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Faridabad, Mathura, Agra, Gwalior, Ujjain and Dewas.
Sumit Sharma, Member of the Northern Railways Advisory Committee, said the train would provide facility to people for visiting the revered Mahakaleshwar temple at Ujjain besides Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Dwarikadheesh temples in Mathura.
