International kabaddi star Ajay Thakur tied the knot with Sandeep Rana at Jogo village in Nalagarh in a simple ceremony today.

The marriage procession started from his native Dhabota village around 10 am in which select guests and family members were present and it proceeded towards the village where the marriage was solemnised.

His father Chotu Ram and brother Amit greeted the guests, including kabaddi player Deepak Hooda, boxer Sweeti Vohra and several police officials.

Deputed as DSP in Bilaspur, Ajay Thakur was awarded Padam Shri for his contribution to the game. His father-in-law Baljeet Rana is working as a junior engineer with the Municipal Committee, Nalagarh. A reception was also held later in the evening in the native village.
