Ganesh immersion processions were taken out across the town on Wednesday.

Devotees danced to the tunes of dhol beats and sprinkled colours on each other. Women devotees outnumbered men this time.

Stalls were organised on various routes where fruits and ‘prasad’ was distributed to devotees.

The idol of Lord Ganesha from Tara Mandir was taken in a procession for four km, which passed through Birta, Ujjain, the new bus stand, the Dharamsala road, the old bus stand and Tehsil Chowk. The idol was immersed in the Banner river with.

Another Ganesh pandal has been set up at Donga Bazar, where a langar (community kitchen) was organised on Wednesday. The immersion will take place on Friday.
