Kullu man admitted to hospital with burn injuries

A wave of shock and sensation has gripped the area after a man was found in a severely burnt and suspicious condition under the Jia bridge on the Kiratpur-Manali highway in Kullu district on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Khushi Ram (28), a resident of the Thela village in Gadsa Valley, was discovered by locals. They found him lying under the bridge with his upper body extensively charred by fire. According to doctors, over 30 per cent of his body has been burnt.

The exact circumstances surrounding how the young man got engulfed in flames remain unclear. The authorities have not yet determined whether the incident is a tragic accident or if there is another reason behind it.

Following the discovery, locals rushed Khushi Ram to the Regional Hospital in Kullu for treatment. Due to his critical condition, doctors subsequently referred him to the Ner Chowk Medical College for advanced care. His condition is reported to be critical.

The incident has sparked various discussions and rumours in the community. Confirming the incident, Kullu Superintendent of Police Madan Lal Kaushal stated that the young man was referred to Ner Chowk hospital. He added that the police were investigating the case to determine the exact causes behind the incident.
