Anshul Prashar of the Kullu Rotary Club has been appointed assistant governor for the HP zone of Rotary year 2026–27. Rotary district 3070 governor Anil Singhal made the appointment in recognition of Prashar’s sustained commitment to community service and effective leadership.
Prashar, a former president of the Kullu Rotary Club, has played multiple leadership roles over the years and has been closely associated with initiatives addressing critical social and health concerns. His portfolio of service includes organising free mammography camps to promote early detection of breast cancer, blood donation drives and free eye and general health check-up camps that have benefited hundreds of people in the district. These interventions have been particularly impactful in reaching underserved communities with limited access to preventive healthcare.
Beyond health services, Prashar has actively championed environmental and disaster-relief efforts. He has led plantation drives to encourage ecological conservation and participated in relief operations by providing essential supplies to families affected by fire and flood-related disasters. He was associated with the cleanliness drive at the revered Bijli Mahadev temple.
The district governor entrusted Prashar with the responsibility of the assistant governor, a role that involves mentoring clubs, strengthening service projects and ensuring alignment with Rotary’s strategic goals across the zone. Prashar described the appointment as a matter of great honour.
