Lack of retaining wall poses threat

A landslide occurred in Panthaghati during monsoon last year but since then, the authorities concerned have not taken any steps to ensure safety of the buildings that are situated above the site of incident. Though, rainy season is a couple of months away, no measures have been taken to construct a retaining wall at the site. This lackadaisical approach of the authorities poses a threat to lives of a number of people. The government must fix the responsibility to construct the wall immediately so that there's no further damage and any mishap can be avoided. — Rahul, Shimla

Ensure garbage is collected daily

Garbage collectors often don’t come everyday in the Panthaghati area. It leads to piling up of garbage outside houses. Stray dogs and monkeys often rummage bins and further litter the area. The authorities concerned should look into the matter and ensure that garbage is collected daily. — Mamta, Panthaghati
