Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today said the government would soon begin the process of acquisition of land to pae the way for the construction of the Pathankot-Mandi fourlane project. He was replying to a query from Pawan Kajal and Arun Kumar during Question Hour in the Vidhan Sabha.
“The DPR of this project is being amended and once this is done, clearance and approval will be sought and the project estimates will be prepared,” he said. He added that a provision of Rs 10 crore is made every year to take care of the repair of the road.
The government will challenge the High Court order setting aside the appointment of 2,555 School Management Committee (SMC) appointed teachers in the Supreme Court. This was stated by Education Minister in a written reply to a query by Asha Kumari, Harshwardhan Chauna, Rakesh Singha, Vinay Kumar and Vikramaditya Singh during the question hour in the Vidhan Sabha today.
Replying to a query by Rajinder Rana on the number of youth who had registered for jobs ever since the outbreak of Covid, Industry Minister Bikram Singh said 16,215 youth had got their names on the Skill Register Portal. “We have prepared the data bank of those educated youth who have become unemployed so that they can be helped in getting jobs as per their education and skills,” the Minister said.
A total of Rs 22.03 crore has been spent on organising the Global Investors’ Meet at Dharamsala till date even as some of the bills are pending, said the Industry Minister.
