Leopard trapped in fence in Mandi

MANDI: A leopard was found trapped in a fence at Badyara village under the Jogindernagar Assembly segment of Mandi district today.

A leopard was found trapped in a fence at Badyara village under the Jogindernagar Assembly segment of Mandi district today.

Fearing crop loss, villagers have fenced their fields to keep wild animals at bay.

Accidently, the leopard got trapped in the wire in night. However, the villagers noticed it this morning.

They then called up officials of the Forest Department, who reached the spot .

Confirming the report, Mandi SP Gurdev Chand Sharma said efforts were on to rescue the animal.
