Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today urged the councilors, including Mayor and Deputy Mayor, to use the renovated Town Hall building for citizen friendly activities and making it an attraction for tourists.
Earlier, a delegation of councillors of Municipal Corporation Shimla led by Mayor Kusum Sadret called on the Chief Minister and thanked him for handing it to the corporation after its renovation.
They gave various suggestions for proper utilisation of the Town Hall and demanded that the building should also house councillors room and a meeting hall for its sessions.
Thakur inspected every room of the building and held discussions with office bearers of the corporation so that it could be made an attraction to the tourists besides earning revenue to the corporation.
Chief Minister also inspected the sinking site of The Ridge and gave directions to begin improvement work on this at the earliest.
