Man murdered in Kullu village

Kullu, January 14

A man was allegedly murdered after being hit with a stone on the head at Masna village in Lug valley on Sunday night.

Kullu ASP Raj Kumar Chandel said Deep Chand (38) of Masna village was allegedly attacked by Pratap (40) after which Deep Chand fell down and Pratap fled from the spot.

The ASP said villagers informed the police and the body of the victim was sent for a post-mortem examination. He said a case had been registered under Section 302 of the IPC and Pratap had been detained for further interrogation. He further said a team of forensic experts visited the site and collected evidences. He further added that the cause of death would be ascertained after the post-mortem examination report was out. — OC
