Bypass from Nehru Kund to Palchan
The journey from the Nehru Kund curve to Kulang village has become risky due to dislodging of stones from the mountain. The spot has become vulnerable to landslides.
Risk of landslides increases after rain and snow. The BRO is trying to get rid of this problem by constructing a bypass from Nehru Kund to Palchan. This bypass will provide safe travel and respite from traffic jams.
According to information, 165 bighas of private land and government land is being acquired for the bypass. The land acquisition work by the Revenue Department is underway. The land will be procured by the government and transferred to the BRO. The BRO authorities said that the road construction work will start as soon as the land acquisition process for the Nehru Kund-Palchan bypass is complete.
