Mandi Div Commissioner orders removal of encroachments in Sarkaghat

Mandi Divisional Commissioner Raj Krishan Pruthi carried out a surprise inspection of the SDM and tehsil offices in Sarkaghat subdivision of Mandi district yesterday. During the inspection, he reviewed the functioning of both the offices and instructed officials to ensure timely disposal of all pending cases to facilitate smooth public services.

The Divisional Commissioner issued clear and strict instructions to the Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar to immediately remove all illegal encroachments from government land. He warned officers that encroachment on government property would not be tolerated under any circumstances and that strict action must be taken without delay.

He also reviewed the status of vacant posts in both the offices. Paruthi emphasised that shortage of staff should not hinder the delivery of essential public services and instructed officials to ensure that citizens do not face any inconvenience.

Additionally, the Divisional Commissioner sought detailed information regarding the condition of disaster-affected areas, relief measures undertaken, and the progress of rehabilitation works following the damages caused during the monsoon.

The inspection highlighted the administration’s commitment to transparency, prompt service delivery, and strict enforcement against illegal land occupation.
