Soldier Anchit Sharma (23) of 21 Dogra Regiment, who was martyred in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday, was cremated at his native Dhar Pajera village in Rajgarh tehsil of Sirmaur district today with military honours.
His body arrived at his native village this morning. His parents, younger sister and grandparents were inconsolable. His father Rajesh Sharma lit the pyre in the presence of a large crowd of locals. Shimla MP Suresh Kashyap, local MLA Rina Kashyap, and SDM Naresh Verma were present. — TNS
