Minister inaugurates revenue record room, veterinary dispensary in Kotkhai
Rohit Thakur says Marathu-Tharola road is being upgraded at a cost of Rs 16 crore and primary health centre is under construction at Tharola at a cost of Rs 1.75 crore
Education Minister Rohit Thakur inaugurated various projects, including a revenue records room at the SDM’s office and a veterinary dispensary, at Kotkhai in Shimla district today. Earlier, this office was located in Theog. “The opening of a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Kotkhai is an achievement, as it will provide quality and modern education to local children,” he said. He added, “It is due to many reformative steps taken to provide quality education to students in government schools that Himachal has been ranked fifth in the country as compared to 21st during the BJP government.
The minister also inaugurated a newly upgraded subdivision level veterinary dispensary and participated in the animal breeding camp organised by the Animal Husbandry Department.
The minister congratulated villagers on the formation of new panchayat Tahu Kathandi from Tharola gram panchayat. He expressed confidence that development works would gain momentum after the formation of the new panchayat. He added that the important Marathu-Tharola road in the area was being upgraded at a cost of Rs 16 crore and a primary health centre was under-construction at Tharola at a cost of Rs 1.75 crore. He inspected the under-construction Sub-Judge Court complex, which would become operational soon. He said that the state government was committed to providing quality, easy and accessible education to students and many effective decisions had been made to achieve the target.
