Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi today inaugurated the sub-jail building, constructed at a cost of Rs 6.7 crore in Rekong Peo today. He also inaugurated a Government Primary School in Kalpa, constructed at a cost of Rs 65 lakh.
Wishing the Kinnaur residents a ‘Merry Christmas’, Negi said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was determined to providing quality education to students near their homes.
Negi further said the state government had taken many important steps to bring about improvement in the field of education, which include education in English medium from the first grade, modern equipment, special workshops for teachers, etc.
“The state government is working hard to make Himachal self-reliant and all kinds of basic facilities are being made available to people,” he said.
Earlier, the minister heard problems of people at the Field Hostel in Bhavanagar and assured resolution of all complaints in a phased manner.
