Himachal Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi has termed the controversy involving PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh and IAS and IPS officials unfortunate, saying everyone involved was wrong to make the issue public. “For the people in the government, there are appropriate platform to raise their grievances. The matter could have been discussed at the Cabinet meeting,” said Negi.

While stressing the need for the ministers to keep patience and discuss issues at appropriate platforms, Negi said he didn’t approve of the reaction of the associations of the IAS and IPS officers as well. Both the associations issued public statements in response to the statement made by the PWD Minister. He said the matter would be discussed in the upcoming Cabinet meeting. “We can’t take such issues to the public. It will set a wrong precedent,” he said.
