Nalagarh town has bagged the third position at the the “National Clean Air City” Awards during the Swachh Vayu Survekshan 2024. This national assessment under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) is undertaken by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Nalagarh falls under Category-III cities having population below three lakh.
Member Secretary, HP State Pollution Control Board, Anil Joshi received the award at Jaipur on Monday. The prize carrying an amount of Rs 12.5 lakh was presented. The new initiative of the ministry is proposed to rank cities on the basis of air quality and the conduct of the activities approved under the city action plan in 131 non-attainment cities in the nation.
