Dedication towards one’s nation is nationalism and this spirit keeps the citizens of any country united. This was stated by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya at a seminar on “Nationalism Building Modern India” organised by the Maharishi Panini Vichar Manch at Himachal Pradesh University here today.

The Governor said: “Nationality is our identity, but this feeling should be strengthened because nationalism inspires the citizens of the country to do away with narrow thinking. We need to maintain this unwavering spirit of nationalism because the power of nationalism helps us fight disruptive forces.”

“We are moving in the direction of modern India. But we have to move forward with the idea of educated India, strong India, healthy India, corruption-free India, terrorism-free, unemployment-free and scientific India,” he said.

Founder, Yog Bharti, Shriniwas Murti said Himachal was the land of God, where there was no show-off and pretense and the people are hard working. He also highlighted the importance of yoga.

Vice Chancellor of HP University Prof Sikander Kumar welcomed the Governor and enlisted the achievements of the university.
