NCC cadets of St Bede's College, Shimla, hold rally


The NCC cadets of St Bede's College, Shimla, took out a rally under the theme 'Falcon of Peaks' to celebrate the country's victory in the Kargil war and honour the courage and valor of the martyrs of the Army. More than 30 cadets participated in the rally and marched from Navbahar to Annadel. Later the cadets also visited the Army museum at Annandale. During the rally, cadets also organised poster-making and slogan-writing competitions.

HPU extends last date for admission

The Himachal Pradesh University on Monday extended the last date for admission in under graduate (UG) courses in its affiliated colleges to August 5. The last date for online registration process for next year/semester in various bachelor/master degree programmes in the Indira Gandhi National Open University for the July 2022 session has also been extended to August 12.

Fee portal opened after SFI’s plea

The SFI unit of Kotshera College on Monday submitted a memorandum to the principal of the college demanding to open the fee portal for students of second and third years. The SFI members said that the fee portal was opened till July 31 but some students were unable to deposit the fee and were facing problems. The college authorities have opened the fee portal after their request.
