Himachal Pradesh University has been positioned in the band of 51-100 in the category of State Public University in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)-2024 ranking that was announced by the Ministry of Education, university Vice-Chancellor Sat Prakash Bansal said here today.

The V-C, while congratulating the entire university’s fraternity for this accomplishment, said the university has taken many initiatives for improving the ranking and accreditation status still there are many areas, including research, placements, consultancy and perception, where the university has to work harder. “Good ranking and accreditation is important nowadays for higher education institutions as students check the ranking and accreditation status before taking admission in a particular university or institute,” he said.

Prof Bansal said the university will participate in many other categories, including Research and Open university, as far as NIRF was concerned in future. Pro-Vice Chancellor Rajinder Verma also congratulated the entire university fraternity. — TNS
