One IAS, two IPS and 10 HPPS officers transferred

The state government on Saturday ordered the transfer and assignment of additional charges to one Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and 10 Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) officers with immediate effect.

An official notification to this effect was issued by the government today.

A 2008-batch IAS officer, Ashish Singhmar, Secretary, Digital Technologies and Governance, has been given additional charge of Secretary (General Administration Department) and Secretary, Human Rights Commission, Shimla.

Among IPS officers, 2012-batch Khushal Chand Sharma, presently serving as Commandant, 2nd Indian Reserve Battalion, Sakoh (Kangra), has been transferred and posted as Principal, Police Training College, Daroh (Kangra). With this, Soumya Sambasivan, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Northern Range), Dharamsala, has been relieved of the additional charge of the Police Training College.

In another order, the government has assigned the additional charge of Superintendent of Police (SP), Special Task Force, to Kangra SP Ashok Rattan, relieving Dr Khushal Chand Sharma of this responsibility.

Among HPPS officers, 2006-batch Dinesh Kumar, SP, CID, Shimla, has been transferred and posted as SP (Welfare) at Police Headquarters, Shimla. He replaces Pankaj Sharma, who has been transferred and posted as SP, Prisons and Correctional Services, Shimla.

Other transfers include: Additional SP, CID Navdeep Singh as SP, Dehra; Pramod Chauhan as Additional SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (Headquarters), Shimla; Amar Singh as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Leave Reserve, Police Headquarters; Kamal Kishore as DSP, 1st HPAP Battalion, Junga (Shimla); Kamal Kishore-II as DSP, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Shimla; Geetanjali Thakur as Staff Officer in the office of the Inspector General of Police (Southern Range), Shimla; Dev Raj as SP, Leave Reserve, Shimla; and Lokender Singh as Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Padhar, Mandi.
