Online job fairs to be held: Himachal Industries Minister

Shimla, January 17

The state government was laying special emphasis on providing employment opportunities to the youth of the state and was considering organising online employment fairs so that more employment opportunities could be generated for the youth, said Industries Minister Bikram Singh while presiding over a meeting with various representatives of industry sector here today.

He directed the officers to work with vision to resolve the various issues of industrialists and said that the state government had made multi-pronged efforts in ease of doing business and to encourage investment in the state. The state government has taken every possible step to provide relief to industrialists and to ensure security to labourers working in the industries during Covid pandemic.

The minister appreciated the efforts of industries in strengthening health infrastructure in the state during Covid crisis. He urged the industrialists to make contribution in health, education, environment conservation, etc under Corporate Social Responsibility. The representatives of industries gave their suggestions on various issues.
