PAC directs timely settlement of audit paras

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has directed the authorities to ensure timely adjustment and settlement of audit paras.

Committee chairperson Asha Kumari said they had collected information about the purchase of medicines, expenditure on roads and bridges and accounts matters of various other departments from officials.

Information regarding action taken on all pending reports related to the paragraphs of misappropriation etc from 2014-15 to 2016-17 pertaining to the CAG has also been gathered.— OC
