Dr Mansi Verma, a resident of Palampur subdivision and Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the PGI, Chandigarh, has achieved international recognition after being selected to participate in the annual conference of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR-2026) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
At the global forum, regarded as one of the leading platforms in cardiovascular imaging, Dr Mansi presented her research on ‘Sub-mitral Aneurysm in Myocardial Ischemia’. Her work received appreciation from international experts and delegates, underlining her growing stature in advanced cardiac imaging.
In a further distinction, she was inducted into the Early Career Steering Group of the SCMR, a leadership platform that identifies and nurtures emerging global talent in cardiovascular magnetic resonance. The selection marks a milestone in her academic career.
Dr Mansi also attended meetings of the social media and public relations committee and moderated a speed mentoring session, demonstrating her engagement beyond academic presentations. In recognition of her academic excellence and contributions, she was awarded the prestigious SCMR Travel Grant.
Dr Mansi is regularly invited to speak at national and international medical seminars, strengthening her reputation in the field of radiology. Her achievement marks a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh, particularly the Palampur region.
