Pensioners staged a protest outside the Vidhan Sabha here today, accusing the government of adopting anti-pensioner policies and ignoring their demands. Under the banner of the Himachal Pradesh Pensioners Joint Struggle Committee, the protesters alleged that the government had withheld their dearness allowance, arrears and other financial benefits citing a financial crisis while the salaries and allowances of public representatives were being increased.
