Ph-1 training for Panchayati Raj Election staff conducted at Kaza

The first phase of training for officials and employees for the upcoming Panchayati Raj Elections was conducted today in the Kaza Development Block of Spiti subdivision in Lahaul and Spiti district to a ensure smooth, fair and successful election.

Kaza Additional District Magistrate Shikha instructed all election personnel to discharge their responsibilities with utmost sincerity, impartiality and vigilance. She emphasised the importance of thoroughly studying the Election Commission’s guidelines to avoid any errors during the election process.

Election staff deployed across 72 polling stations in 14 panchayats participated in the training programme. A total of 192 officials and employees attended the session, including 58 presiding officers and 134 polling officers.

During the training session, master trainer Subhash provided detailed information regarding polling procedures, guidelines to be followed at polling stations, management of election materials and other essential election-related formalities. The officials were also briefed on various practical and procedural aspects necessary for the efficient conduct of polling.

Kaza Block Development Officer and Returning Officer Anshul Shandil also addressed the participants and explained several important procedures related to the election process in detail.

As part of the training programme, election personnel were given hands-on practical training on the handling and operation of ballot boxes at the rehearsal venue itself.

Kaza SDM Dikshit Rana along with officers and employees of the Election Department were also present on the occasion.
