Professor Mamta Mokta has been appointed as a Member of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. She has been appointed for a period of six years or until she attains the age of 62, whichever comes earlier.

Professor Mokta is currently Dean of Student Welfare at Himachal Pradesh University and chair of the Department of Public Administration.

With an overall teaching experience of 33 years, she has been a Professor at HPU for the last 16 years. Her areas of specialisation include good governance, policy and governance, effective public service delivery, development administration and innovative governance.

She has authored seven books and has carried out several research projects. In addition, she has extensive administrative experience.
