To pay tributes to the courage, sacrifice and dedication of Indian armed forces personnel, Punjab National Bank (PNB) organised a run titled ‘Soldierthon’ on the bypass here on Friday. The theme of the event was ‘Run with Soldiers, Run for Soldiers’. Col Suresh Thakur (retd), Chief Manager of the CSD Canteen, and Arvind Yadav, head of PNB’s circle office, along with 125 locals, including ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and bank officials, participated in the run.

Col Thakur emphasised the importance of adopting a positive lifestyle, characterised by regular exercise and discipline. Yadav said such events helped reinforce the feelings of patriotism, gratitude and respect for soldiers and their families. He added that the PNB would continue to organise such socially relevant and nation-building initiatives. Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris were felicitated.
