SOLAN: A Punjab Roadways bus (PB-13-AW-6392) en route Shimla-Parwanoo rammed into a car (HP-93-1917) parked outside Timber Trail resort near Parwanoo this evening.

Solan, March 18

A Punjab Roadways bus (PB-13-AW-6392) en route Shimla-Parwanoo rammed into a car (HP-93-1917) parked outside Timber Trail resort near Parwanoo this evening.

DSP, Parwanoo, Yogesh Rolta, who visited the spot soon after the incident, said no one was present inside the car that was severely damaged.

Bus driver Gurvinder Singh and its conductor Gurlal, who were the sole occupants of the bus, sustained injuries. They were taken to ESI Hospital, Parwanoo.

The DSP said the car was damaged beyond recognition. An ambulance stationed inside the hotel was also damaged as the speeding bus rammed into it.

A case of rash and negligent driving under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC has been registered against the bus driver and further investigations are underway. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
