Rain alert on Sept 23, 24

The receding monsoon in the state could bring another spell of heavy rain as the Met Department has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places on September 23 and 24.

Even though the state has had temporary respite from rain in the past four days, the Met Department has issued a warning of heavy-to-very-heavy and extremely heavy rain at some places.

The department also issued an advisory to farmers that in view of heavy rain, they should postpone their outdoor farming activities on September 22.
