Solan, August 28
A team of Jaipur police arrested a gang of kidnappers from the Dharampur railway station on Tuesday. According to the police, on August 18, Anuj, a Jaipur resident, along with his friends, had gone to Nahargarh Hill in Rajasthan. The ganf members kidnapped him after tying his hands and feet and applying tape to his face. They demanded a sum of Rs 20 lakh from his family to let their son go.
The family sought time to arrange the amount. Meanwhile, they filed a complaint with the police, who began a hunt to trace Anuj. The kidnappers kept changing their location to hoodwink the police and and finally told the family to sit in the last bogie of the Kalka-Shimla express train on Tuesday evening.
The family was asked to throw the bag containing the money near the Dharampur railway station. The police made no mistake and arrested the youth who caught the bag and also arrested his accomplices.
