Rampur power station records fastest generation of 2,000 MU

Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN, on Friday said that the 412 MW Rampur Hydroelectric Power Station had recorded the fastest-ever generation of 2,000 Million Units in a financial year on February 5. The achievement was accomplished nine days ahead of the previous record set on February 14, 2020, marking the best generation performance of the power station in the past 11 years of the operation.

Since its commissioning, the Rampur hydro power station had consistently set new benchmarks in generation performance, reflecting strength of its engineering design, rigorous maintenance regimes and sustained operational excellence. This achievement reinforced the SJVN’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainable power generation for the nation.
