Palampur, July 18

Residents of Paprola have been getting the contaminated drinking water supply for the past two days

The residents lodged protests before the Executive Engineer, IPH, Baijnath.

The water supply is not only muddy, but also carries other waste material and is not fit for drinking. Residents of Khatrer, Burli Kothi and the Ayurvedic College complex complained that their water taps had been choked due to the muddy water. Some residents have uploaded the pictures of muddy water on social media.

Subhash Sood, Manoj Mahajan, Neeraj Mehata and Jatinder Sood, residents of the town, said despite repeated requests, the IPH authorities did not act.

An officer of the IPH Department said in 48 hours, the situation would be normal and people would get clean drinking water as usual.
