MANDI: Five office-bearers of the District Congress Committee — vice president Laxmi Thakur, general secretaries Rajkumar, Param Dev and Rahul Thakur and secretary Sunil Sharma — have submitted their resignation from their posts on Wednesday to express solidarity with Sukhu.

Mandi, January 16

Five office-bearers of the District Congress Committee — vice president Laxmi Thakur, general secretaries Rajkumar, Param Dev and Rahul Thakur and secretary Sunil Sharma — have submitted their resignation from their posts on Wednesday to express solidarity with Sukhu.

They lamented that Virbhadra Singh had been targeting Sukhu in public meetings by saying that the he had made considerable damage to the party during his regime as HPCC president of the state.

The office-bearers alleged that the junk remarks of Virbhadra against Sukhu and party workers are unacceptable.

“We are feeling tormented. Due to that we have submitted our resignation to the party high command”, they said. On Tuesday District Congress Committee president Dipak Sharma had targeted Virbhadra in Mandi on the same issue.— TNS
