A case of snatching cash worth Rs 4.64 lakh from a youth by two bike-borne miscreants came to light at Rajpura in Nalagarh yesterday.

DSP Anil Verma said Gursewak of Kishengarh village, working for a money transfer company, lodged a complaint that when he was coming from Dheerowal to Baddi on his bike, a bag containing cash was snatched from him around 1:45 pm yesterday.

The miscreants, whose bike’s registration number was covered with a black tape, fled towards Khera. They had been captured in a CCTV camera installed outside Pidilite Industries.

A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.

While this was not the first such case which has taken place in this bordering industrial belt, the fact that the area has a porous border works to the advantage of the miscreants who flee towards the neighbouring Punjab and Haryana after committing such crimes.
