The Revenue Department’s disaster management cell has issued an advisory recommending Covid-appropriate behaviour in view of violation of norms, especially in public transport and at public places.
The active cases in the state have crossed 1,400, with around 200 cases being added daily. The Cabinet, at its meeting on August 9, is likely to re-impose most of the earlier restrictions on social gatherings and other functions.
It has been recommended that the agencies concerned check overcrowding in shops, malls, markets, restaurants, bars, bus stations, parks, gymnasiums, marriages and sports complexes. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said some curbs needed to be put in place to check fresh spike. — TNS
