Sanawar’s legacy celebrated at success summit in New Delhi

The Sanawar Success Summit-2026 was successfully organised by the Old Sanawarian Society (OSS) at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, bringing together eminent alumni and distinguished personalities from diverse fields.

The summit witnessed the participation of several prominent Old Sanawarians, including Arun Maira, former member of the Planning Commission; Jyotsna Suri, CEO of The Lalit Group; Yashish Dahiya, Founder of Policybazaar; and Dushyant Chautala, former deputy chief minister of Haryana. Their presence demonstrated the strong legacy and continuing influence of The Lawrence School, Sanawar.

Headmaster Himmat Singh Dhillon presented a brief report on the school’s journey and achievements. Emphasising the long-term vision of the institution, he remarked, “We are not looking at just the next few years, we are looking ahead to 2047, when The Lawrence School, Sanawar, will complete 200 years of its glorious legacy.”

The chief guest, Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, lauded the school for its remarkable contribution over its 178-year history. He noted that the institution had produced numerous distinguished personalities who had significantly contributed to nation-building. He also praised the school’s scenic environment, cleanliness and disciplined ethos. He fondly recalled and admired the supreme sacrifice of Second Lt Arun Khetarpal, PVC, an alumnus of the school.
